What could more tempting than a soft and sweet cinnamon roll topped with creamy vanilla glaze?
Unfortunately, few foods are as bad for your health as this food court favorite. With over 600 calories and 50 grams of sugar, enjoying a cinnamon roll with vanilla glaze will cause a dramatic blood sugar spike, put your metabolism in slow motion and set the stage for dangerous levels of inflammation.
But what if you could indulge in this crave-worthy treat… without spiking your blood sugar or harming your health?
Well, now you can!
Using our new Sinless Cinnamon Roll Mix and a few basic ingredients, you can turn out bakery-style cinnamon rolls that are gluten-free, low-carb and with just 3 grams of sugar apiece.
And what about the classic, sweet and creamy vanilla glaze to crown your hot fresh rolls? We’ve got you covered!
Using powdered erythritol, melted grass-fed butter (or coconut oil), organic heavy cream (or coconut milk), a little vanilla and a smidge of arrowroot to thicken, you can make a rich and delicious vanilla glaze in about 5 minutes.
Simply add the powdered Erythritol and arrowroot to a bowl. Then add the melted butter, cream and vanilla and stir well, adding more cream to achieve a thinner consistency, if desired. In this recipe, I chose to keep my vanilla glaze thick and spreadable.
If you want to be fancy, transfer your vanilla glaze to a piping bag and use a zig-zag motion to drizzle over the top of your fresh baked cinnamon rolls. Otherwise, use a spreader knife or spatula to coat the tops of your warm cinnamon rolls, making sure to get in all of the nooks and crannies.
